Want to do something that truly matters? Rally your workplace, church, school, or community group to host a resource drive and help meet the real needs of people experiencing homelessness.

We make it simple and meaningful. From logos and social media graphics to photos and flyer templates, we’ve got you covered with everything you need to get started and spread the word.

Coordinating Drop-Offs

City Missions does not have a permanent facility yet, so all donation drop-offs are coordinated based on current outreach needs and available storage.

Please email admin@citymissions.org to schedule your drop-off or ask questions about what to collect.

Tips for Organizing a Successful Donation Drive

Contact Us – Let us know about your drive by reaching out to admin@citymissions.org or call 972-890-1152.

Gather Support – Invite friends, co-workers, classmates, churches, clubs, or teams to join in.

Set a Goal & Theme – Decide which items to collect and how many. Check our needs list or ask us for recommendations.

Spread the Word – Promote your drive using flyers, posters, social media, and community newsletters.

Deliver Donations – Once your drive is complete, coordinate your drop-off with City Missions.

 

We’d love to celebrate your efforts! Send us pictures or videos from your donation drive. Tag us on Instagram and Facebook or email them to admin@citymissions.org.

Top Priorities for Donations

Essential Items We Accept:

New travel-sized hygiene products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush, toothpaste, razors, shaving cream, lotion, deodorant, etc.)

New or gently used pants, T-shirts, and sweatshirts

Shoes (sneakers preferred and not heels)

New socks and undergarments (We cannot accept used socks or undergarments for hygiene reasons.)

 

Items We Cannot Accept:

We are unable to accept furniture, household items, or food. Please consider donating these items to Bedstart.org or your local food pantry.

Donation Logistics & Organization

Should I let City Missions know if I’m organizing a donation drive?

Yes! Please contact admin@citymissions.org so we can support your efforts and coordinate drop-off logistics.

Can I receive a receipt for my donations?

Yes, please inform our staff if you would like an in-kind tax receipt for your donation.

Do you accept children’s clothing?

No, City Missions primarily serves adults. If you have children’s clothing to donate, we’d be happy to recommend organizations that focus on supporting families with young children.

 Do you accept bedding or blankets?

Yes! We accept new or gently used twin or full size blankets and sleeping bags, as these are essential for those experiencing homelessness.

Can City Missions send a speaker to my group?

We may be able to provide a speaker to share more about our mission and impact. Availability is limited, so please reach out to admin@citymissions.org to inquire.

Can I set up a recurring donation or corporate giving opportunity?

Yes! We welcome recurring donations and workplace giving programs. Visit our donations tab or button for more details on how your business, church, or organization can get involved.
